A man was arrested last week after sexually assaulting a minor.
According to a police report, an officer with the Manitowoc Police Department met with the victim on February 12th, who told officers that the 22-year-old man had added her on Snapchat three months prior.
The man sent the minor multiple photos of his genitals and requested nude photos of the girl.
Then, on February 12th, the two met at the Manitowoc Public Library and were seen on camera kissing.
The man was also taped inappropriately touching the minor.
The victim told police the man brought her into a bathroom and had sex.
The victim said the man was rough with her and caused her pain.
A friend picked her up from the library after the incident and took her to a hospital.
The man initially denied doing anything inappropriate with the girl but changed his tune after being confronted with still images from the surveillance footage.
He told police he was “really desperate for sex and didn’t mean for it to happen.”
The man is facing two charges of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
