Ninety seconds into the second half Sunday the Badgers went on a 14-1 run to ice a Big Ten Conference victory over Michigan 77-63.
At one point sophomore guard Johnny Davis scored nine straight points and blocked a shot.
Davis finished the game with 25 points and all five U-W starters scored in double figures.
Wisconsin (21-5) is in second place in the conference standings with a record of 12-and-4, a half-game behind Purdue and tied with Illinois.
A frustrated Wolverines coach Juwan Howard confronted U-W’s Greg Gard after the game.
Howard says he was upset when Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard called a timeout with just 15 seconds left and the Badgers holding a big lead.
After the game, he pointed a finger at Gard during the handshake line, then reached through the crowd to take a swipe at Wisconsin assistant Joe Krabbenhoft.
The conference says it will take “swift and appropriate disciplinary action” after it completes its review.
