Five people are now without a home following a fire Saturday evening in Green Bay.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was informed of the blaze at around 9:00 p.m. and sent crews to the 900 block of Howard Street.
Crews noted flames coming from the front entryway of the structure upon their arrival, but said the fire expanded into the wall of the first floor and the basement.
The fire was quickly extinguished, and the smoke removed, but not before significant damage was caused.
No injuries were reported, and it is not clear at this time what caused the fire.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the four adults, one child, and two canines that lived in the residence.
