Members of an emergency response team ended a six-hour Sauk County standoff by using tear gas Wednesday evening.
Deputies first responded to the location in Sumpter at about 2:00 p.m.
When contact was made with the 22-year-old suspect inside a mobile home he refused to come out and told deputies he was armed.
At about 8:00 p.m. the chemical munitions were used and members of the emergency response team entered the home and took the man into custody.
He was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
