With a backlog of 17-hundred criminal cases and another three-thousand misdemeanor cases,
Milwaukee County Court officials might start holding night court. The pandemic made the situation worse.

The changes are aimed at freeing up space in the county jail and keeping suspected criminals off the streets.
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Chief Judge Mary Triggiano says federal COVID-19 dollars could be used to pay for the moves.
