Business owners in downtown Milwaukee say they are worried that the city’s record number of homicides is going to hit the bottom line.
Milwaukee Bucks President Peter Feigin says making that area safe requires everyone working together – from police to business owners. More security cameras are being installed and a police substation is being built right now.
Feigin says proactive steps like increasing lighting, plus education, work development, and job opportunities are all important. One business owner says he has doubled security.
