
Senior Matus Dopirak’s two free throws with just under 6-seconds remaining wiped out a one-point deficit and gave Manitowoc Lincoln a 55-54 upset win over visiting Ashwaubenon last night.
The Ships snapped the Jaguars’ 15-game winning streak and left the visitors with a 17-and-2 mark on the season.
Lincoln improves to 8-and-11 overall, 6-and-8 in the FRCC.
Brayden Kennedy scored 13 of his team-high 18 points in the 2nd half for Lincoln with Dopirak chipping in 14.
Marcus Tomashek paced Ashwaubenon with a game-high 23 points.
Despite the loss, the Jaguars stayed even with De Pere atop the league standings because Bay Port knocked off the Redbirds 79-77 in overtime.
De Pere will host Ashwaubenon Friday night with sole possession of first place on the line.
