Sophomore guard Johnny Davis broke his shooting slump with 25 points in the Badgers’ 70-62 win at Michigan State Tuesday night.
Davis hit 8-of-11 shots and led Wisconsin with 6 rebounds.
The Badgers led the entire first half while the Spartans were misfiring on offense, hitting less than 30 percent from the field.
The victory moves coach Greg Gard’s team to a half-game out of first place in the Big Ten standings.
Wisconsin returns home Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. conference game against Rutgers.
