A competency hearing has been scheduled for an Outagamie County man accused of killing his grandparents.
The competency report for 19-year-old Alexander Kraus was given to the court on Monday, and a hearing on the issue will be held on February 23rd.
Kraus was scheduled to be sentenced back in August, but a jury ruled that he had a mental disease at the time of his crime.
Even so, they found him guilty of the killing of Letha and Dennis Kraus at their home in Grand Chute.
Investigators found a folder in Alexander’s room which contained written plans for killing his grandparents, as well as a large amount of ammunition and numerous guns.
