
A total of 162 hearty souls took to the ice to compete in the Mishicot Sportsman’s Club’s 2022 Fishing Derby this weekend.
Winners were announced in nine different categories.
Glen Koppelman caught the largest Northern Pike, weighing in at 11 pounds 13.6 oz, while Ethan Staudinger’s 3-pound 8.4 oz walleye was good enough for 1stpalce.
A nearly 7-pound brown trout caught by Matt Meyer earned a win, while a 4-pound bass earned Austin Radandt a win.
Chad Gulseth won the whitefish category with a 2-pound 14 oz fish, Mike Bumgart’s 1-and-a-half-pound Perch earned him a win, while the largest rainbow trout was caught by Cody Kramer, who collected a 5-pound 10.6 oz fish.
The largest crappie, weighing in a 1-pound 2.8 ounces, was caught by Rycen Dehne, and Jim Theyerl caught the largest bluegill, weighing in at 1 pound 4 ounces.
