
The Manitowoc Youth Hockey Association is playing host to the Bantam 4A State Tournament the first weekend in March.
These teams will consist of players between 13 and 14 years old. Since Manitowoc is playing host, their team has automatically qualified for the tournament.
Four other local teams will try to punch their tickets this weekend.
The Breaker’s Squirt C team, which consists of players between the ages of 9 and 10, will be in Shawano taking on Marinette on Friday, with the winner taking on the home team for the right to play in the state tournament.
The Squirt B team will be taking on the Marinette Thunder as well at the Manitowoc Ice Rink on Saturday with the winner going to state.
Also this weekend, the Peewee C team, with players between 11 and 12 years old is in Shawano taking on the Lightning on Saturday, while the Peewee B team will be in Manitowoc taking on the Thunder as well.
The Squirt State tournament will also be held the first weekend in March, while the Peewee tournament is the following weekend.
