Eastern Wisconsin’s representative in Congress is calling for a hearing regarding the situation at the U.S./Mexico border.
Subcommittee on National Security Ranking Member Glenn Grothman is joined by James Comer of Kentucky have sent a letter to Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney of New York calling for a hearing and to “conduct meaningful oversight” on what they call “Biden Administration’s self-inflicted humanitarian and national security crisis at the U.S. southern border.”
They cited the increase in fentanyl-related deaths as part of the reason for the hearing, as the drug continues to make its way across the border.
This is the fourth time the duo has called for a hearing.
The first time was on March 4th of last year, then March 25th, and again on June 2nd.
In the letter, they stated, “We should no longer allow the Biden Administration to hide behind black tarps and midnight skies.”
