
A Manitowoc man who served 10-years on the County Board of Supervisors has died at the age of 65.
David E. Gauger Sr. passed away last Tuesday at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
Manitowoc County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer has stated in memory of his service, county flags will be at half-staff on the day of his burial, February 7th.
According to his obituary notice, Gauger was also a member of the Manitowoc County Expo Board for nearly 25-years.
Dave was employed as a Master Automotive Technician and was an avid race car enthusiast.
Gauger was most proud of receiving a citation at the age of 13 for saving a man’s life on the Bay of Green Bay.
A visitation to allow his family to greet relatives and friends is planned for this Saturday, February 5th from 9-until-noon at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1516 18th Street in Two Rivers.
That will be followed by a time of reflection and sharing memories.
