
Manitowoc Lincoln featured a balanced attack in defeating Sheboygan South 61-to-40- last night in FRCC boys basketball.
The Ships (4-and-6 in conference, 6-and-9 overall) complete a 2-game season sweep of the visiting Redwings with the wire-to-wire victory at JFK Fieldhouse.
Five players scored 9-points or more in the win including leading scorer Matus Dopirak with 13, Brock Peterson and Brayden Kennedy each tallied 11-points and Gage Cornell and Spencer Wigand both chipped-in 9.
Lukas Ladwig paced Manitowoc native Jesse Shaw’s team with 12-points but the Redwings drop to 4-and-11, 1-and-9 in conference.
Lincoln played a solid all-around game, shooting 54% from the field, converted 9-of-13 free throws and committed just 9-turnovers.
The Ships will host De Pere, the 2nd ranked team in the State Large School Coaches Poll on Friday night.
