Two Rivers resident Bobby Prucha says he’s “74 and it’s time to retire.”
Prucha and his wife, Kay, have agreed to sell Rudy’s Lanes to Tim and Ann Klein, with the purchase becoming official last Tuesday.
The 12-lane bowling center has been in his family going on 58-years, so we asked Bobby for his reaction to the change in ownership.
Prucha admitted he feels relief that they sold it, but he will be there until the end of April.
“The reality hasn’t really set in yet but I look back and last night I sat and just stared out there and said, ‘Wow, all these years I’ve been here and pretty soon it’s going to be over,'” Prucha said. “So, there’s sadness but there’s also gladness because at my age I can’t do what I used to do.”

Prucha tells Seehafer News that Tim Klein is a builder and he’s “gung-ho” to make some necessary changes to the business at 1916 Washington Street.
“I feel really confident about him because he’s going to take an old bowling center into the 21st century, spicing it up with game rooms and bringing the kids back here,” Prucha explained.
Bobby also told us what was going to stick in his mind the most.
“More so the fun things, the joking, the fun,” he said. “That’s one thing I’ve always found about bowlers, for the most part, they have a good time. You see ‘em now and they’re my age and they haven’t been able to go bowling. They’ll talk about do you remember when we did this at a bowling tournament, or when I got my first 700 and how much everybody was celebrating that. And, that’s what I remember.”
The Klein’s intend to rename the business “Hook, Lanes and Games” when they officially take over.
The purchase price was listed at $195,000.
