
Manitowoc County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer has announced that due to the death of former County Board Supervisor Marie Kohlbeck, all county flags will fly at half-staff on the day of her funeral, Saturday, February 5th.
Kohlbeck, who served on the County Board in the 1980s and 1990s, died Sunday at her home in Rural Whitelaw.
She was 88.
Among her many other roles, Marie served as an assessor for the Town of Kossuth and Town of Manitowoc Rapids, served on the Manitowoc County Expo Board, and was a 4-H leader.
She and her husband Herb owned and operated their own business, Kohlbeck’s Riverview Inn at Reifs Mills for many years.
Funeral services will be held a week from this Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek.
