
Police confirm that no weapon was found when a Middleton High School student was taken into custody and three schools were put on lockdown Monday afternoon.
The incident started when a resource officer was told by a staff member the 16-year-old student might have a firearm.
It took 45 minutes to find the student.
The lockdown went into effect at about 12:30 PM and was lifted by 2:00 PM.
The student’s name hasn’t been released.
Clark Street Community School and Kromrey Middle School joined the high school on full lockdown.
An elementary school was put on soft hold.
