The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team has come out of nowhere to be ranked in the top-10 while compiling an impressive 15-and-3 record.
They’re doing it, so far, with very little production from the bench players.
In 14 of the 18 games played so far, the Wisconsin bench was put up 10 points or less. It’s actually gotten worse lately.
The Badgers have received just 6.5 points a game from the bench in the last six Big Ten games.
The team’s usual starting five has accounted for about 85 percent of all the scoring.
The biggest bench contributor is Cincinnati transfer Chris Vogt who’s scoring 2.9 points and 3.5 rebounds a game.
That’s not good because Vogt comes in mostly for defense.
