The father of an eight-year-old Milwaukee girl says he accidentally shot his daughter last weekend, calling it a “big mistake.”
Michael Huddleston tells investigators he was checking to make sure the safety on the weapon was on when it discharged.
Tiana Huddleston was killed.
Her father faces a charge of first-degree reckless homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon.
It is also being reported that the victim’s sister called 9-1-1 to tell authorities the father and his wounded daughter were headed to the hospital.
