A gritty Northwestern team kept Tuesday’s Big Ten clash close, but when the game was over Wisconsin had its seventh straight victory 82-76.
The Badgers only got four points from the bench, but Johnny Davis’s 27-point effort led five players in double figures.
Tyler Wahl filled the statistics book with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.
The victory improves Wisconsin’s record to 15-and-2, including 6-and-1 in Big Ten play.
That’s good for first place in the conference standings, tied with Illinois.
The Badgers return to action Friday when Michigan State visits the Kohl Center.
