The trial for a 23-year-old Dane County man accused of killing his parents resumes today (January 18th) after a one-week delay.
Legal proceedings were put on hold after Chandler Halderson tested positive for COVID-19.
He has entered not-guilty pleas to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide.
Prosecutors say he killed and dismembered his parents, Valders natives Bart and Krista Halderson, last year.
Jury members were told the case had been put on hold because someone tested positive for the virus, but they weren’t told it was the defendant.
