Now, BleacherReport.com lists left-handed pitcher Aaron Ashby as a potential breakout star for the Brewers in the 2022 Major League Baseball season.
Ashby gets high marks for a fastball that can reach 100 miles an hour, plus a devastating slider and a change-up that is called a “bat-misser.”
Control could keep Ashby out of the starting rotation.
If that doesn’t happen, he could join Josh Hader and Devin Williams and shutdown arms in the Milwaukee bullpen.
Ashby had one save and a 3-and-2 record in 13 games last season, striking out 39 batters in just under 32 innings and putting up an earned run average of 4.55.
