An arrest has been made in the fatal weekend shooting of an eight-year-old Milwaukee girl.
Investigators say Courtney Sisk was fatally wounded at about 2:25 p-m Saturday.
A 47-year-old man was handling the gun when it was discharged.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but she died.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Officer says this is the ninth homicide in the city for 2022.
The man’s name and relationship with the victim haven’t been released.
He is being held in the Milwaukee County Jail.
