There are a pair of meetings scheduled for today at 4:00 PM in the City of Manitowoc.
The Industrial Development Corporation will be in the second-floor conference room in City Hall, where they will discuss an offer to purchase a five-acre portion of a nearly 75-acre parcel land located north of Silver Lake on South Averno Road.
Also, the group will also discuss a proposed land swap involving portions of the larger parcel with a smaller parcel just to the south of the larger parcel.
It is not clear if those two proposals are connected in any way.

Meanwhile, the Maritime Metro Transit Commission will be in the First Floor Conference room, where the public will be given time to voice their input.
The Commission will be discussing the hiring of new drivers and will get updates on their bus stop shelters at Culvers, BayCare, and the Aurora Garfield Clinic.
