A Milwaukee man will spend the rest of his life in prison for his role in a 2017 murder case in Manitowoc.
A jury found 47-year-old Dajuan B. Deshazer guilty of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide with Use of a Dangerous Weapon, being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Felony Bail Jumping in November and was in front of Judge Jerilyn Ditez for sentencing last week.
Judge Dietz sentenced Deshazer to life for the homicide charge, plus an additional 11 years on the other charges.
Deshazer was arrested in April of 2019 after a witness came forward with information linking him to the incident.
Deshazer shot a resident in their home in the 700 block of South 15th Street on May 19th, 2017.
The victim was flown to a Green Bay hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
