The Wisconsin Supreme Court won’t let Republicans submit a second redistricting plan for the state.
The four-to-three ruling was handed down Monday.
Conservative Justice Brian Hagedorn supplied the deciding vote.
The court ruled last November it will make as few changes to the existing political boundaries as possible – based on the 2020 US Census numbers.
Those maps benefit the GOP significantly.
Arguments in the case will be accepted next week and a final decision on the boundaries would come after that.
