The Wisconsin men’s hockey team bounced back from a Saturday defeat to tie number-17 Ohio State Sunday 2-2.
It was a physical game between the two Big Ten Conference opponents featuring a lot of penalties.
Zach Urdahl put the Badgers ahead at 12:45 of the first period.
The Buckeyes turned the puck over, then Josh Ess passed to Jack Gorniak who found Urdahl in front of the net.
The teams entered the third period tied at 1-1 when Jesper Peltonen gave the Badgers another lead at 14:26.
The overtime was scoreless, but Ohio State claimed the extra point in the shootout.
