There’s no word yet on the cause of an early morning fire Thursday that destroyed two historic warehouses in Superior.
The fire forced about a one-hour closure of the Blatnik Bridge, a major thoroughfare connecting that city and Duluth.
Officials say they closed the bridge because smoke threatened to affect visibility for motorists.
Fire Chief Scott Gordon says the destruction of two buildings from the late 1800s is a loss to the community.
No one was injured.
The fire started in an empty warehouse and spread to the adjacent building.
