The UW Green Bay Women, after not playing for two and half weeks, was competitive against IUPUI last night but came up just short in a 51-49 loss.
The Phoenix and Jaguars both scored 16 points in the 1st quarter and 9 in the second, but Green Bay entered the final quarter up by 4.
A late Jags run, however, was all the difference, as the Indiana team edged out the Phoenix by two points.
Luxemburg-Casco grad Cassie Schiltz led the way for Green Bay, scoring 13 points, while Haley Oskey added 12, and Appleton native Maddy Schreiber accounted for 11 points.
The Phoenix Women are back in action tomorrow, as they travel to Chicago to take on the University of Illinois Chicago Flames.
