A life science company in Sheboygan has landed a major government contract.
MilliporeSigma has signed on the dotted line for a $136.7 million contract, which will allow them to construct a lateral flow membrane production facility.
The membranes produced at the facility will be used in diagnostic test kits for diseases such as COVID-19, HIV, and malaria.
This should help keep a steady supply of pandemic-related products in the area.
MilliporeSigma has 23,000 employees at 59 manufacturing sites around the world and creates over 300,000 products.
