After dominating Badgers opponents during the 2021 season, Leo Chenal has decided to take his game to the next level.
The Big Ten Linebacker of the Year went on social media to announce Monday he is going to forgo his final season of college eligibility and enter the N-F-L Draft.
Chenal led his team with 115 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and was second with eight sacks.
In his announcement, Chenal wrote: “Growing up as a kid in Wisconsin it’s everyone’s dream to wear the W on the side of your helmet and play in Camp Randall.”
Also, the veteran offensive line coach for the Wisconsin football program, Joe Rudolph, is leaving to become an associate head coach at Virginia Tech.
Rudolph played for the Badgers and Barry Alvarez, then became a tight ends coach in 2008.
He followed Paul Chryst to Pitt, then returned to Madison when Chryst was hired to lead the program in 2015.
Rudolph is a Pennsylvania native and he says moving closer to his home is a benefit of taking the new position.
