This isn’t looking very much like the rebuilding year Wisconsin expected.
Sophomore guard Johnny Davis accounted for half of his team’s points in a 74-69 upset of number-three Purdue Monday night on the road.
Purdue led 49-42 midway through the second half, then the young Badgers team took control.
The Badgers rode a 16-5 run in the closing minutes to claim their third straight victory.
Davis put up a double-double with a career-high 37 points and 14 rebounds.
Senior Brad Davison contributed another 15 points.
It was the first time Wisconsin had beaten the Boilermakers on the road in eight years.
Wisconsin returns home to host Iowa Thursday.
