In the midst of a blood supply shortage, the American Red Cross received a nice Christmas gift from the Green Bay community.
It is being reported that the annual Green Bay Holiday Blood Drive reached 98% of its collection goal.
The drive was held at the Ashwaubenon Community Center on Monday, where 55 people showed up, and again at St. John the Baptist School in Green Bay on Thursday.
106 people flocked to the school to give the gift of life.
The American Red Cross is continuing to ask for people to donate blood and platelets to help those in need of a transfusion.
You can schedule an appointment by going to RedCrossBlood.org, or by calling 1-800-Red-Cross.
