Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett may have a chance at his first N-F-L head coaching gig.
The N-F-L Network is reporting the Jacksonville Jaguars have asked Green Bay for permission to interview him for the position that became vacant when Urban Meyer was fired.
Hackett has a history with Jacksonville, serving as quarterbacks coach there for two seasons, then offensive coordinator for three seasons ending in 2018.
He’s been in Green Bay since then.
Hackett has played a major role in developing one of the best offenses in the league around quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
If he moves on, quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy and offensive line coach Adam Stenavich would-be candidates to replace Hackett on head coach Matt LaFleur’s staff.
