Janice M. Flaim, age 66, a Reedsville resident, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 18, 2021.
Janice was born on July 3, 1955, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Walter and Lorraine (Litersky) Flaim. She graduated from Roncalli High School, Manitowoc, with the class of 1973. She was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company and Bud Willman’s, before beginning her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Rita’s Health Center at the Holy Family convent where she served for over 30 years until the time of her passing. Janice enjoyed trips to casinos, attending the farmer’s market, rummage sales, visiting the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, dancing, going for walks and spending time outdoors. Most of all she loved spending time with her nieces, nephews and other family members. Janice was a very giving person and put everyone else before herself.
Survivors include her siblings: Mary Knier, Robert Flaim, Kathleen (Peter) Klein, Daniel (Aldenira) Flaim, Annette (Terry) Kilishek, Judith Horkman, Cindy Flaim, and Anthony Flaim. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and very close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Lorraine Flaim, godparents: Arnold and Dorothy Litersky, brother-in-law: Joseph Knier, as well as, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Ben Johnson. Janice will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Alverno following Mass.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
