A report shows almost 20 percent of Milwaukee County homicide and attempted homicide suspects were free on bail when they committed another crime.
Fox6 News reviewed 117 homicide and attempted homicide cases from this year.
Reporters found that 25 suspects had been freed on bond for a pending felony charge before they killed or tried to kill someone.
A few of them were released from custody on bails of less than one thousand dollars.
The situation gained attention when it was revealed that Darrell Brooks Junior was free on a low bail when he allegedly drove an SUV through the crowd at the Waukesha Christmas Parade, killing six people and injuring more than 60.
