
There are two meetings scheduled to kick off Christmas week in Manitowoc.
First up will be a joint meeting with the Committee of the Whole and the Room Tax Commission, who will occupy the Council Chambers at 5:30 PM.
After the public is given time to voice their comments, the group will discuss a summons and complaint from m Manitowoc Area Visitors and Convention Bureau, Inc., The Hearty Olive, LLC, & WI Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus, Inc.
The case alleges that because the City of Manitowoc failed to come to another agreement with the MAVCB, they violated state law.
Then, at 6:30 PM, the Common Council will gather in the Council Chambers, where they will start by swearing in the newest member of the Police Department, K9 Mali.
Then, after the public is given time to voice their input, the council will discuss a recommendation to install advanced warning signs for pedestrians at the intersection of South 35th Street Dewey Streets.
These are the only meetings scheduled for this week in the Clipper City.
