The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating what led to a man being found dead next to some railroad tracks.
Canadian National Railroad reported finding the body of a yet unidentified male alongside the tracks near the intersection of Board Street and Washington Avenue at around 1:45 AM Saturday morning.
The body of the 22-year-old Oshkosh man was located after a conductor said his train hit something but wasn’t sure what it was.
The Oshkosh Police Department has stated that the death does not appear to be suspicious at this time and did not say if the man was dead prior to the incident with the train.
The incident remains under investigation.
