City leaders are hoping the installation of speed bumps will slow speeders down.
Wisconsin’s largest city has been struggling with reckless drivers for several years. The City Council is planning to put 300 new speed bumps into local neighborhoods by next summer.
Alderman Michael Murphy calls it one more tool to make streets and sidewalks a little safer. Homeowners will have to cover a part of the cost for the new speed bumps, but Murphy says the charges will be minimal.
