
The Manitowoc Lincoln Ships Boys Basketball team let a late lead slip away last night at the JFK Fieldhouse and lost in overtime to FRCC rival Bay Port 84-79.
Jordan Lawrenz had the call on 107.9 FM WOMT and reports that the score was knotted at 68 at the end of regulation.
A big reason for the Pirates’ win came on the free-throw line.
They went 19 for 20 from the charity stripe in their five-point victory over the Ships.
Lincoln had four players score in double digits. Brayden Kennedy lead the Ships with 20 points while Matus Dopirak had 18 Brock Peterson scored 16, and Spencer Wigand accounted for 10.
Lincoln falls to 3-2 on the season, with their next matchup scheduled for Friday in De Pere.
