There’s a change at the top.
Baseball American is listing left-handed pitcher Aaron Ashby as the Brewers’ top minor-league prospect.
Ashby takes shortstop Brice Turang’s position after Turang spent a couple of years heading the list.
Ashby struck out 100 batters in Triple-A over 63 innings on the mound, then brought his strikeout pitch to the majors over 13 appearances.
Turang is still number two after a solid season in Double-A and Triple-A.
Speedy outfielder Sal Frelick is number-three and Garrett Mitchell is number-four.
