E-J Liddell scored 28 points for the Buckeyes who owned the game in the paint.
Wisconsin was out-rebounded 49-to-28.
Only sophomore Johnny Davis was on target – he scored 24.
The defeat snapped the Badgers’ winning streak at six games in a row.
Wisconsin built a first-half lead of eight points, but the Buckeyes scored a dozen points in a row to claim the lead for good with eight-and-a-half minutes left in the first half.
The Badgers return home to host nonconference Nicholls State Wednesday.
