The month of December isn’t even halfway through, and already the Green Bay Police Department has responded to five separate shooting incidents.
After two last week, three more occurred Thursday evening, all within half an hour of each other.
The first occurred in the 1200 block of Berner Street at 7:00 PM. Officers located shell casings but did not report any injuries or property damage.
At the same time, shots were fired in the 200 block of De Leers Street, which is only a few blocks away. A significant amount of property damage was reported in that incident, but again there were no injuries.
Then, several blocks north of Lambeau Field, another shooting was reported at 7:30 PM in the 800 block of Hubbard Street. This is the third shooting on that block in December, and just like the others, there was property damage reported, but no injuries.
It’s not clear if any of the shooting incidents this month are related, but additional resources have been brought in to aid the Green Bay Police Department.
Anyone with any information on any other shootings is encouraged to contact the Green Bay Police Department at 920-448-3200, or Crime Stoppers at 920-432-7867, or at 432Stop.com.
