Ice artisans are on the scene and construction of the Ice Castles has started in Lake Geneva.
Recent freezing temperatures have opened the door for crews to start “growing” the icicles used.
Organizers expect the castles to open to the public by mid-to-late January, depending on the weather.
The frozen playground includes ice-carved slides, tunnels, fountains, crawl spaces, caverns, and icy thrones.
Color-changing L-E-D lights embedded in the ice add to the experience.
Tickets are expected to go on sale soon.
