Two special prosecutors have been appointed to review the potential case against former Waukesha police officer Joseph Mensah.
Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Glenn Yamahiro says he wants the litigators to take another look at the shooting death of Jay Anderson Junior five years ago.
Yamahiro appointed Milwaukee attorney Scott Hansen and La Crosse County District attorney Tim Gruenke to be the special prosecutors.
The judge ruled last summer there is probable cause that Mensah committed the crime of homicide by use of a dangerous weapon.
The two litigators will have 60 days to decide whether charges should be filed.
