The Manitowoc Police Department is Putting on a massive food drive. They are calling it the 10 Most Wanted food drive, and it will run until April 30th. This is not our run of the mill food drive however. MPD Office Manager Jeri Lynn Christiansen told us, “All of us girls came together, and came with a theme for each month and put our heads together, and thought it would be a good idea to keep interest in it, versus having anything dropped off. Then individuals would participate monthly in those themes.” The theme for January is Souper Bowl, which means, “Anything soup related, and any kind of dry beans is being accepted, along with crackers” Christiansen explained. There are several places you can go to donate. The Manitowoc Police Department at 910 Jay Street, the Manitowoc Public Library at 707 Quay Street, Manitowoc City Hall at 900 Quay Street, Manitowoc Public Utilities at 1303 South 8th Street, and at the Manitowoc Senior Center at 3330 Custer Street. At the beginning of every month, we will update you on how the previous month faired, and the theme of the next month.
