A 20-point halftime deficit proved to be too much for the Roncalli Jets Girls Basketball team to overcome, as they fell to Sevastopol 44-39.
The Pioneers put up 25 points and held the Jets to only 5 first-half points.
Roncalli held Sevastopol to 19 in the second half, and put up 24, but is just wasn’t enough.
Pioneer Junior Bailey Rickola led all scorers with 23, while Roncalli’s Lauren Stangel accounted for 12 of her team’s points.
With the loss, the Jets fall to 1-4 on the season, with their next matchup scheduled for Thursday at home against New Holstein.
