The Winnebago County district attorney’s office has decided not to pursue an opening meetings case against the Oshkosh School Board.
The complaint was filed by the Wisconsin Transparency Project after board members walked out of a scheduled August meeting when it was disrupted by opponents of the district’s face mask policy.
People attending the meeting were refusing to wear masks in the building as required by local officials.
Board President Bob Poeschl says the August 25th meeting was never called to order due to the disruptions.
He says board members left the room for safety, left the door to the room open, and didn’t discuss school district business.
