Sophomore forward Johnny Davis scored 25 points.
Wisconsin didn’t shoot well in the first half, but it did manage to protect the ball against a Golden Eagles press that is usually effective.
Justin Lewis led coach Shaka Smart’s team with 14 points.
After leading by three at the half, the Badgers built a lead of 20 points at 83-63 before a late push by the visitors.
Marquette is back in action Wednesday at Kansas State, while Wisconsin hosts Indiana in its Big Ten Conference opener the same night.
