Seniors Cole Ebert and Weston Leibzeit of the Division Seven State Champion Reedsville Panthers were selected AP All State Honorable Mention by media who cover High School Football the sport on a consistent basis.
Ebert–along with Leibzeit and fellow senior quarterback Brennan Dvorachek–was one of the most dominant offensive trios in the state in leading the Panthers to the schools’ first state Championship last month, defeating Coleman 17 to 0 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
Two Rivers Sophomore Chase Matthias was given High Honorable Mention honors. Matthias rushed over 2,000 yards this season and led the Raiders In total tackles from his middle linebacker spot. He set 10 individual and/or career records this season in leading TR to the postseason.
Other selected AP All State include Senior Robby Michael of Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian, named First Team, All purpose. Senior teammates Colin Girdaukas and Casey Verhagen were given High Honorable Mention and Honorable mention recognition. Hilbert Senior Reed Breckenheimer was named Second Team All Purpose, Denmark Seniors Hayden Konkol and Kenny Satori were named High Honorable Mention on defense.
Second Team Offensive honors were accorded to senior Sam Peiffer of Cedar Grove-Belgium. Reedsville Head Coach Aaron “Freddy” Fredric was a finalist for Coach of the Year which was given To Aquinas’ Tom Lee while Wisconsin recruit, quarterback Myles Burkett of Franklin, was named Player of the Year.
